A bilingual Arabic and English blog theme, fast and simple. The site you are reading right now is Midad itself.
Who is Midad for?
Midad is a WordPress blog theme for people who write in Arabic and English and want a calm site that is easy to read. It is a bilingual blog theme with full right-to-left support in every detail, made for:
- Bloggers and writers: essays, reflections and stories, where the words come first.
- Journalists and creators: analysis and reports in Arabic, or in Arabic and English side by side.
- Academics, researchers and translators: one site that presents their work to two audiences, in matching versions.
- Book, travel and culture bloggers: writing that deserves beautiful photos and well-ordered pages.
- Newsletter writers: people who grow a readership by email and write to it regularly.
- Personal websites: a fast, professional blog that carries your name, without page builders or complexity.
If you are looking for a fast, minimal Arabic and English WordPress blog theme that works with the modern block editor, Midad was made for you.
What you get
Two languages, built in
Arabic right to left and English left to right, each with its own typeface, and a one-tap switch between them with Polylang.
Fast and light
No page builder and no jQuery. Fonts are served by the theme itself, and images load only when they are needed.
Night mode
A night and day button that remembers each reader’s choice and follows their device setting by default.
Three styles
Light, Night and Paper. Change colours and fonts in the Site Editor without writing code.
Email subscription
A MailPoet form appears in the footer and on the home page automatically; without it, readers get an RSS button.
Edit everything
Header, footer, templates and ad slots, all editable by drag and drop in the WordPress Site Editor.
